Mechanical drafting and design services involve creating precise technical drawings, blueprints, and 3D models for mechanical systems, components, and products. This includes everything from conceptual design and detailed engineering drawings to manufacturing and assembly instructions. We translate ideas and specifications into visual, measurable designs for fabrication and production.
"Mechanical" refers to one of the four major types of engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, & Chemical), mechanical engineering. Mechanical engineering's focus is on the design, analysis, manufacturing, and maintenance of mechanical systems, which deals with motion, energy, force, and heat. This translates to us offering services for mechanical parts and assemblies as well as weldments and industrial equipment layouts.
We provide mechanical drafting and design services to a wide range of industries, including (but not limited to):
• Manufacturing
• Product Development
• Industrial Equipment
• Automotive
• Aerospace
• Consumer Products
• Custom Machinery
Yes, absolutely! We specialize in both 2D detailed drawings (for manufacturing, fabrication/weldment, and assembly) and 3D modeling for visualization, analysis, and prototyping. Our 3D capabilities include assembly models, exploded views, installation layouts, modification drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
Yes, we can start with various inputs, including hand sketches, reference PDFs, existing CAD files, or even just your conceptual ideas. We have even used photos to recreate a rough concepts as long as there a a few measurements to use as a reference. We'll collaborate with you to develop these into detailed designs.
We are proficient in industry-standard CAD software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Inventor, and others. We can typically also adapt to specific software requirements if your project or company uses a different platform. Currently we use the Autodesk Product & Manufacturing Collection suite, so our primary powerhouse software is AutoCAD Inventor.
Likely not, there are typically many ways to pass files in a neutral format back and forth across different types of software. It is highly dependent on the desired final file format requirements, and what software you are using. For example, Solidworks has a great import feature that often will auto-recognize features when files are being imported from Inventor. We work hard with our customers to find an approach that bridges any software compatibility issues.
Yes, if you have a physical part or product that needs to be recreated or documented digitally, we can provide reverse engineering services to create accurate CAD models and drawings provided you have permission/authorization.
Yes. Our most successful partnerships are long-term retainers where we act as a strategic extension of your team. We specialize in helping firms increase project volume by optimizing their file organization, implementing Vault storage systems, and developing "Master Models" for either production or sales purposes to reduce repetitive design time.
Absolutely. While we maintain a personalized "Managing Partner" experience, we have scaled our internal capacity with specialized subcontractors. This allows us to handle both one-off precision projects and high-volume ongoing work without compromising our "Details Delivered" quality standards.
While we loving helping people solve a variety of issues, unfortunately, we are not a good fit for the below project types:
- Residential & Commercial Construction & Improvement
> Construction Drawings
> Permit Drawings & Applications
> Electrical & Mechanical Plans - MEP (electrical systems, plumbing, & HVAC)
> Fire Protection Systems
> BIM creation, revision, & compliance
> Structural Assessment & Design (Beam & Column Sizes)
> Foundation Design
> Seismic, wind, and snow load planning
> Water damage and drainage issues
> Attic & basement remodels
> Vaulted ceilings and adding staircases
> Deck and garage design
- Electrical, Civil, & Chemical Engineering Projects
We officially launched in May 2025. Since then, we are on track to exceed our year-one growth projections by 250%. This rapid growth is a testament to our commitment to engineering integrity and our ability to deliver results that help our clients scale their own businesses.
